Tick Tock

we're counting down the weeks.. the days till the Fiji Mission Trip...

At our meeting yesterday - Grace Choy ran through the programs once again and now we have a list of items to buy for the workshops and craft sessions that need to be settled by this week. It's a really good program that starts with God made the world (Day 1) linking all the way through to Will you Let God be YOUR King (Day 5).

Ben Li will be in charge of songs (and he's already come up with 6 songs on the list so far). good work!

Peter Li is in charge of the games segment and is also in the midst of recording his Mission Trip testimony to be shown to the congregations next Sunday. The way God touched his Father's heart to approve Peter to come along for this trip is AWESOME!!!!!!! Through so many clear signs, how can we still doubt that God is opening doors for this trip??

Hu Die has also done up the accounts and has a special book with many tabs down the side so it shows she's serious at work! Being accountable on the funds is something very important that we must do and rest assured that Hu Die is in control of it!

Hsien also distributed our journals (yeah.. pretty purple books without lines) for us to start journaling our thoughts, lessons learnt and experiences from this trip. We will share excerpts from our journals when we are back from the trip.

As for me.. I'm here! updating! 9 hits so far (i know 3 are from me) so *Waves* HELLO to the other 6 humans out there. I'm really excited as the date draws closer cos I know that there's so much that we can teach the Kids in Suva. BUT there is just as much that we can learn from them too. so I'm really looking forward to it.

Next meeting: Saturday 20th December 4pm in church

as what our youth kids would say.... "AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sore Arms..

The team had their vaccination injections done this week.. after waiting at the Doctor's to obtain the prescriptions for 2 hours!!! So that's one more logistical item done....

Grace Choy has also finalised the Children's programs and we will be looking to finish purchasing all the craft and materials required for the activities by this week.

We would like to sincerely thank all those who have supported us both financially and by praying for us. Achieving our target fund raising amount needed has indeed shown us that God is in control and there is nothing impossible for our Jehovah Jireh our Provider.

On of our biggest financial concerns and expenses would have been the issue of accomodation during our stay in Suva. The team would have needed a safe place near to the church as team parents Dr Peter & Winnie Chen would be staying in the spare room in church. Hsien received an email from the Missionaries in Suva informing that a church member has offered his spare rooms for the team!! Praise the Lord!!! That means that we will cut down on an significant expense.. we will be giving a love offering to the kind family as well as a gift so that the rest of the funds initially intended for accomodation can be used to purchase gifts and resources for the Sunday School in the church (eg. colour pencils, bibles etc).

We have started circulating our weekly prayer list & newsletter via email. We sincerely hope that you can continue to be part of this Mission Trip Team by praying with us.

Remember, without God in this trip, we are nothing but tourists.
